Kathy Ormsby has nearly 30 years of experience in the healthcare industry. She is an accomplished risk adjustment management professional with experience in healthcare technology, ICD-10-CM coding, quality reporting, and physician and coder training and education. Recognized for her extensive knowledge of government compliance programs and technical proficiency with delivery systems, she has generated millions of dollars in revenue for healthcare providers. Kathy has led teams of physicians and coders that have identified, collected and assessed diagnosis/encounter information for the HCC/RAF initiative, and strategically implemented change and adaptation to RAF coding initiatives. She has also developed training and education materials, programs and strategies for implementing processes and reporting structures that effectively capture Medicare’s CMS & HHS HCC conditions.
Kathy has held leadership positions at Sutter Health and Kaiser Permanente. She holds certifications in Anatomy and Physiology, and Medical Terminology and Medical Administration. She is a Certified Professional Coder (CPC) and Certified Professional Compliance Officer (CPCO) through the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC).
